Goldenrod Magzine (-sic)

A pseudo-anthology of Can-con underground comix printed at 7”x8.5” on 24 very yellow pages of comics with full colour covers. From single panel gags to mutli-page stories, Goldenrod Magzine (-sic) compiles the best of Ryan Cassidy’s comics. It’s the sordid chronicle of a publication riddled with bad managerial policy, goblins, transdimensional entities, big snack conspiracies, insidious art supply retailers and a coterie of deranged denizens all vying for editorial purview over Donlon, Dingdongtario (an oh-so-clever pseudonym for London, Ontario).

The Singing Chandelier

An illustrated mystery told in forged documents and imaginary transcripts. 24-page monochromatic booklets printed at 4.5”x8.5”. It’s a cryptic and unravelling research project presented as ‘the very opposite of a puzzle’ detailing the life and works of Sam Maxwell, a psychic prodigy from southwestern Ontario who disappeared at the turn of the millennium. Each issue of these limited edition books features specialty cover stock with a peek-a-boo circular window to reveal the index’s central graphic underneath. Several pages are double-printed and possess special authentication features ensuring each booklet is unique.

Commissioned by the Middlesex-London Health Unit, these booklets compiled stories from the @DogAndTom webcomic for distribution throughout SW Ontario as part of a Free Comic Book Day promotion. Printed at digest size 4.25”x8.5” with full colour covers with monochromatic interiors.

An informative zine created for Thames Valley District School Board educators created in collaboration with Blueprint Counselling about accommodating diversity and sitting with discomfort. Featuring retro-inspired design and vintage educational clip art, this digest-sized staple-bound booklet is modelled after old school teachers’ resources. from the 1970’s. Printed on Salmon pink coloured paper at 4.5”x8.5”.
