Trinketron Turbo 2000: The Future is… Futuristic!
It was the world’s first talking AI vending machine! Anyone could make anything with Trinketron Turbo 2000! Here’s how it worked: First you’re asked to insert $5 after being automagically detected by the animated on-screen AI. Once its instructions are delivered, the customer’s Trinket preferences were input by manipulating the five hexagonal knobs on the control panel. Then, within thirty seconds, a unique trinket matching their specifications was produced, packaged, and ejected into their trembling human hands! The mighty Trinketron stood over 8 feet tall and boasted an array of laser lights, fog effects, and a booming sci-fi soundtrack. Since 2014, Trinketrons have appeared at music festivals, artist markets, street parties, mico-breweries, and all kinds of parties across Ontario. It was featured at Honest Ed’s farewell bash in 2017 and in 2019, it travelled all the way to Sydney Nova Scotia for the Lumière Art-At-Night festival.
